someone figured out how to smile for the camera...

My parents and my brother came up on Saturday for a nice day visit! Laura mostly behaved herself...although she required carrying when we went out for our little walk up to Central Park. At least someone else was there to push the stroller, not like some days when I have to carry her AND push the stroller.

I have taken a lot of nice walks along this route, walking west up to Central Park, and through the park a little going south, and then back home again. Often I go past the Frick, and read their sign...no admittance for children under the age of 10... Boy is this a case of the grass being greener. I've been to the Frick exactly once before, and never experienced any burning desire to go there again. I mean, I really enjoyed it, but it was also great to go during the time that you could pay what you wanted. But now every time I walk past there with the baby, I'm just dying to go in. I fantasize about the guard making an exception for me and my sweet and angelic infant, so well contained in the Baby Bjorn. A chamber music friend of Isaac's crashed at our place last night, and going to the Frick was pretty much the only thing I could think to suggest for him to do. Oh well...I'll either go by myself sometime, or wait ten years.

Okay, time for bed, Laura's been asleep for hours, and hopefully will stay that way when we tiptoe to the bed.

Laura is so cute! Are you still on maternity leave?
Mine is winding down... 5 years just does not seem like long enough...can you get a sense of my sarcasm?? Sometime it does not translate well on the computer. Michael has an A & B schedule for kindergarten which means every other day he goes. With the exception of when they have no school than for some reason just to complicate our schedule a little bit more they flip flop it...it makes getting a job a bit hard.So basicaly on the days Michael is at school I am milling around the house trying to brainstorm more constructive things to do than waiting for the arrival of Drew Carry to host price is right *he starts today by the way* I am so glad to hear you are all doing so well. I am terribly embarrassed we have a gift for you that I neglected to mail *I am terrible about keeping addresses* It really is a defict I have rather than a lack of effort.I hope you understand.Could you e-mail me with it and I will promise to have follow through?
I still have a gift for Dan that I have had in the truck of my car for 3 months...when a gift has been in your trunk it starts to feel a little less like a gift and a little more like trash...

Hi Stacy! Did you get my email a couple of weeks ago, or did it get spam filtered again? I saw Michael's kindergarten pictures and he's so adorable.

I'm getting back to work kind of gradually...we still have to find someone to babysit for us, but isaac and I are going to work on the weekends so that one of us can be home with the baby 4 days a week, and we will only need a sitter for 3 days. It's nice to have flexibility like that.

I have to go because some jerk is using a circular saw and waking up the baby from her nap.

Honestly my e-mail set up is so confusing ever since we moved here. I do not know how to delete messages and the connection has been really slow so I am only on the computer lately for short bursts.I actualy just got your message within the last week or so. I was glad to hear from you. I am so isolated lately since I have not been blogging or going to the health club. It is terrible. I am one of those people who could very easily become a social shut in...interacting is just so hard for me.

If you actually went to the Frick, you'd probably just end up constantly near a guy with a coat he just took out of storage that still smells like moth balls... I've know that's happened before.
